Magical Easter Eggstravaganza Print E-mail
Sunday, 01 April 2007

Cleveland, Georgia was host to the "Magical Easter Extravaganza" with more than 10,000 people in attendance. The day started with a 5K run from Truett-McConnell College to the town square and back. At the same time, 200 plus children attended "Breakfast with the Easter Bunny" at the college. At 10:00am Truett-McConnell College hosted a fabulous Easter Egg Hunt with more than 30,000 eggs on the front lawn of the college. The crowd of children took 5 minutes to clear the entire area of eggs. A number of the eggs included special prizes.

During the day there were refreshments, arts and crafts available to the visitors. There were also amusements for the children next to Babyland General located a short distance from the town square. At noon the crowd moved into the center of town for the annual Easter parade. The crowds were lined along the road into and out of town for the event. With warm temperatures, it was enjoyed by the entire family.
