 Cleveland Color Guard

Sgt. Jason Harkins returned to his home in Cleveland, Georgia as hundreds of town residents and friends line the street for his memorial. A little over two weeks ago, Sgt. Harkins was killed in action while serving in Iraq. Today, local businesses closed and all gathered along the highway from one side of town to the other with American flags in hand to pay their tribute to this fallen soldier.

Several weeks earlier, Sgt. Harkins had saved a fellow soldier in a firefight, and later found that his own helment had been hit. Survived by his wife Emily, she was quoted "Seeing the impact he made, I know that God is going use his death to do amazing things".

The family requested that in lieu of flowers, donations to the scholarship fund for the children of Sgt Jason Harkins be made at the United Community Bank in Cleveland, Georgia.
