Dawson County Fire and Rescue responded to a single family residence fire Tuesday afternoon. The house was located 2 miles east of GA 400 off of highway 53 in Dawson county. The Dawson County Fire Department arrived at the house a little after 5:00 pm. Nobody was hurt and the fire department quickly subdued the fire.
The fire was suspected to have started from an electrical problem. The house was vented by the firemen and once they are certain the fire will not return, an investigation into the cause will be identified.
