Habersham County Businesses Embrace Youthful Consumers Print E-mail
Monday, 24 September 2007
Gainesville, Georgia, Sept 23, 2007 - Sandy's Grafix latest business marketing product was initiated today as the GeorgiaTradeshow.com website began public operation. Last Tuesday, the pilot videotaping of the "Video Business Card" project was completed in Habersham county, Georgia.

Nine businesses participated to ensure that statewide deployment started successfully. Members of the Habersham Leads Group in Cornelia, Georgia were the first businesses to create their "Video Business Card" for the GeorgiaTradeshow.com website. Roll-out to all members of the Habersham Chamber of Commerce will begin this week.

There was a certain amount of excitement from the participants who were preparing to stand before the camera to promote their business. This new service takes advantage of the popularity of videos on the Internet. GeorgiaTradeshow.com serves as the distribution point for the "Video Business Cards" so that the video files can be archived and downloaded to use in other marketing efforts by the participants. Many plan to include the videos in their own business websites as well as submitting them to video websites that will drive potential consumers to their businesses. For example, websites such as YouTube accept video files free from Internet users. The Video Business Card concept utilizes this capability to allow businesses to reach consumers not being served by traditional media such as newspapers, radio or TV.

The primary focus has been to build a process which can serve even the smallest Mom and Pop business in Georgia. It reduces the overall costs of video production to a level that is within easy reach of all businesses. Low distribution costs for this marketing technique takes advantage of the Internet's ability to reach potential customers worldwide, 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Many businesses find that traditional media such as television are beyond their marketing budget. The Internet levels that playing field by providing businesses low cost distribution and the opportunity to speak to their customers directly via video.

The pilot program includes the following diverse businesses:

Joel Freeman of Habersham Wealth Management in Clarkesville, Mya Lea of Mya the Clutter Consultant in Cleveland, Philip Smith of Compass Pest Management in Baldwin, Mike Arena of EcoQuest International in Cornelia, Anthony Alexander of Remax Nacoochee Real Estate in Demorest, Sara Beth Shurtleff of Franklin Insurance Agency in Cornelia, Stan Morgan of Pre-Paid Legal Services in Cornelia and Dr. Betsie Poinsett, Clinical Hypnotherapist in Clarkesville, Jeff Roth of WR Cool Energy Savings in Gainesville.
